Home/News Biography Groups Performances Music & CDs Discography Video Clips Music Q&A Modern Jazz Contact Links	Groups Vibraphonist and pianist Kevin Hart and his various groups have been performing fresh arrangements of classic, contemporary, Latin, and original jazz throughout Illinois since 1993. His groups have performed at numerous concerts and festivals including the Springfield Jazz Festival, Carl Sandburg College Concert Series, CEFCU Concert Series, Rhapsody in Bloom Fest, Peoria Jazz Heritage Fest, Rootabaga Jazz Fest, Viva Chicago, Central Illinois Jazz Society, Taste of Peoria, Taste of Champaign, Sounds of Summer (Urbana), and many more. In addition to many venues throughout the state, Hart has performed an unusually long-standing weekly gig with Mike Nellas at Panache in Peoria since 1997. Kevin's quartet has been featured often on WGLT 89.1 and WILL 90.9 FM, and his Latin Jazz Quintet released Corazon in 1996. Hart's more stylistically eclectic The Road To Everywhere was released in 2005.
	Kevin Hart & the Vibe Tribe (Quartet, Quintet, Sextet)
		This eclectic instrumental jazz group combines Latin, classic standards, fusion, contemporary, and original material. The smooth sounds of vibes, bass, drums, and guitar or piano are sometimes augmented with the addition of congas and/or a horn. The group's sound, repertoire, and musicality make it ideal for concerts, outdoor events, jazz venues, and receptions. 	Trio, Duo, Solo
		A smaller group may be just what is needed for certain situations. The piano trio, along with bass and drums, performs mostly classic standards and recognizable tunes, and is a perfect choice for events needing a jazzy background atmosphere. Duo and solo performances work well in more intimate settings.
